The forward from the five-time champions made his mark, flicking a ball from Vinicius that nestled near the post, leaving Julio González rooted to the spot.

Brazil quickly soured the mood for Mexican fans, who were already reeling from a recent loss to Uruguay. Just five minutes into the game, Brazil struck first. The sequence began with Savinho driving down the wing and delivering a filtered pass to Andreas Pereira at the top of the box. The Fulham attacker controlled the ball, evaded Edson Álvarez and Johan Vásquez, and fired a shot across the goal to beat Julio González.

After the opening goal, Brazil eased up, allowing Mexico more possession. At the 20-minute mark, Gerardo Arteaga tested Alisson with a long-range shot that forced the goalkeeper into action but posed little threat.

The first half lost its intensity as Brazil slowed the pace. Santiago Giménez had a goal-bound shot in the 41st minute after capitalizing on a poor clearance by the visitors.

As the second half began, Brazil replicated their early dominance. Yan Couto made a quick rundown the wing, outmaneuvered Johan Vásquez with a hip feint, and delivered a precise cross for Gabriel Martinelli to score, making it 2-0.

Following this, both teams made substitutions. For Mexico, Carlos Rodríguez and Luis Chávez were replaced by Orbelín Pineda and Alexis Vega. Brazil brought on Lucas Paquetá, Endrick, and Pepe for Pereira, Evanilson, and Martinelli.

Brazil's second goal led to an unfortunate reaction from some Mexican fans, who chanted homophobic slurs, prompting the referee to implement the first step of FIFA's anti-discrimination protocol.

Mexico found a way back into the match in the 72nd minute with a well-executed play down the wing, resulting in a low cross to Julián Quiñones, who finished to make it 2-1. This marked Mexico's first goal against Brazil since 2012.

In a dramatic finish, Guillermo Martínez scored in the 93rd minute to equalize 2-2, sending the crowd at Kyle Field into a frenzy.

However, Brazil quickly responded. Vinícius Jr. lifted his head and delivered a perfect cross for Endrick, who headed the ball past the goalkeeper for a final score of 3-2. This result left Mexico with a record of one win and two losses in their friendly matches leading up to the Copa América debut.
